Mashups All Day

I love Mashups, maybe a little to much. My itunes library currently has 1035 mashups, which is more songs than some of my buddies whole itunes. (Maybe I need to get outside more?)

Anyway as Breezy said we got a Hood Internet concert here tonight and I figured I'd leave you with a sample of my massive collection of mashs that I've been jamming to since I got back from 40's at four.

Everyone has heard the song "Teach Me How To Dougie" but I havent met anyone who has actually known how to do the damn dance. Anyway Justincase combines Cali Swag District's summer hit with Weezer's "Say it Ain't So". These songs combine real nice and its got some awesome bass.

Teach Me How To Say It Aint So by Jersey18

This track is old, originally being featured on the Best of Bootie way back in '08. Divide & Kreate throws together to nice dance songs, Eurythmics "Sweet Dreams" and Lady Gaga's aptly named "Just Dance" to create a powerhouse mashup.

Dance Dreams by Jersey18

Growing up Nelly was definitely one of my favorite rappers, his Country Grammar Ep musta had like 500 plays by the time I got a new computer. Dj Mei Lwun mashed this together and you can't go wrong with a combination of Country Grammar vs. Sweet Home Alabama (Who the hell doesn't love that song?)

Theres been one of two posts about the now hit song by Cee-Lo, "Fuck You". Theres been a couple of remixes of it, most notably with 50 Cent. Anyway a buddy in my dorm was talking about that song and then all of a sudden mentioned going to see Chiddy Bang. I had just happened to download a version of "Fuck You" by Chiddy and he loved it so I'm throwing it up for you guys to hear. Lemme know what you think. Personally I love Chiddy and thinks most of their tracks are must haves.

Samples-Love 'em

I'm a huge fan of up and coming rappers going over the baseline of hit songs because it freshens them up. Cant go wrong with any of these songs

First up is my favorite of the group from a phenomenal rapper, Wale. He goes over Gyptian's "Hold Yuh" which I'll post a dope remix of later, love this song.

Hold You by Jersey18

This is a song from a really good rapper who many people haven't heard of, Mac Miller. He release his mixtape, K.I.D.S early this summer and it was awesome. He samples Owl City's huge hit "Fireflies".

Don't Mind If I Do by Jersey18

Next up is a song from a guy I dont really know much about, but hes a Greek-American rapper hailing from Detroit, hes got a mixtape out with Pauly D though. Anyway he goes over "Letting Go" by Sean Kingston and spits pretty hard. His voice isnt my favorite but let the bass make up for it, who doesnt like the beat of this song?

THE HOOD INTERNET MELTDOWN

Yo, The Hood Internet is coming to my college campus to throw a free concert, so you know my boy T-Rex and I are gonna be at the scene. How jealous are you? That's right, extremely jealous. The following four tracks are all The Hood Internet. First track is Soulja boy mashed with Rusko. Second track is Kanye & Weezy mashed with DJ Signify. third track is R. Kelly mashed with Major Lazer, and personally my favorite party song. Good memories from senior spring break.... Fourth and final is Weezy mashed with Royksopp. Do me a favor and download this one, the fourth track was the first song that I listened to by The Hood Internet, and it blew my mind.

Matt&Kim, Miami Horror

Even though I heard this song thanks to Breezy, I'm going to take the credit and post it up because he's taking too long. I love the Matt&Kim song because the beat reminds me of something Trick Daddy would rap to. It's hilarious. The second song reminds me a lot of Chromeo with that 80's synth sound. Check 'em out.

Bump These

Some new tunes for you to listen to. I'm a big fan of the La Roux song, but the other two also get things started. You might have to listen to these songs a couple of times. But give 'em a chance and they won't disappoint

Iglu&Hartly, JayZ + Marvin Gaye, QuESt

Iglu&Hartly performing half-naked as always

A few songs I've been meaning to post for a while now. But first things first. We've got three new contributors to musichatch. They should all hopefully add some variety to the blog. This being the case you may have to search through our archives a little more frequently than before (which I encourage you to do anyway because you never know what you'll find) since there'll be more posts from now on. Anyway, the first song is one of my favorite tracks. Ever. If you like this song you'll definitely like the rest of their stuff so I encourage you to look them up on iTunes. The next two songs come off a mixtape that mashes Marvin Gay with Jay-Z's "American Gangster" soundtrack. These two are my favorite off the entire mixtape. The last is a rapper named QuESt and he samples OneRepublic's "All The Right Moves". It's good.

Miike Snow remix, Triple J throwdown

Let me know what you think of these two tracks. The first one is a Miike Snow remix of I Blame Coco's song called Caesar, featuring Robyn. I blame Coco has lead singer Eliot Pauline Summer, aka Sting's daughter. So you know it's too legit to quit. Second track is by a rapper named Triple J, aptly named Infected. I think it's called Infected for the pure reason of infecting the entire dancefloor with AWESOMENESS. Anyway, have fun with these two

shoutout to Jersey

So the first song is big boi, rapping of good old american hero general Patton. second is a mashup of Cee-Lo's Fuck you and Gloria Gaynor's I will survive. I forget which blog described it, but simply put, it is a fight between the genders. Gloria telling Cee-Lo that she will endure, and Cee-Lo telling her to FUCK OFF. It's the bees knees. enjoy

Jersey Welcome

Whats up, I'm basically Breezy's roomate (I spend way too much time in his room), he asked to throw up some songs because all I have is music that BUMPS. I'm here to show you that Jersey is infact an awesome place and we listen to some pretty dope music too.

This weekends going to absolutely insane, I know everyone is back in school now and that means everyones going to be going hard. In honor of that I want to share some banging party music. All of these songs are atleast going to get feet tapping if not girls spontaneously grinding up on you.

First up we have my absolute go to dance song, probably the biggest song of the summer if not the year. Dynamite with a dance twist, Stonebridge kills this song, if your gonna download one song from me, get this one!

Dynamite (Stonebridge Remix Radio Edit) by Jersey18

This second song is another huge hit, I havent met a girl who has said she didnt like the song. This is a loud, bassy remix to Like A G6 BY Far East Movement. Please bear with the approximately 45 second intro, it gets going real quick.

Like A G6 (Chew Fu Remix) by Jersey18

Next up is a song that should hit home for a lot of college guys this weekend hopefully you'll be getting some Bedrock, again another uptempo remix that should be played at all pregames. H*Wood jumps on this track and its pretty dope. Grab it.

05 Bedrock (H Wood Remix) by Jersey18

This is the last song im throwing up for now, its a nice remix to Pursuit of Happiness by Kid Cudi. Steve Aoki remixes this and its so loud, strongest bass out of all these dance bangers.

Pursuit Of Happiness (Steve Aoki Dance Remix) by Jersey18

back to school, back to school, to prove to dad I'm not a fool...

So I'm a freshman at college right now, and I've come to notice that every other freshman in my dorm treat college like extended summer vacation with a little sprinkling of school on top. Here are a couple tracks that should help with the relaxation after a long night of super smash bros and four lokos, along with the paper you have due tomorrow in Environmental Studies 101.

MFTC Suggests: Cee Lo

So this is E.R. from the Hatch's sister blog Music From The Cradle and I'm guest writing today.I Just moved up to school and things have been crazy. Even this post I'm squeezing in between picking up a new bed and running around. Anyway...This song I'm posting has been out a few days now and it's called "Fuck You". Cee-Lo, the singing half of Gnarls Barkley, killed this one. It's a really up-beat, happier groove(despite what its title might suggest) that should be great to blast in dorms and parties as people trickle back on to campus. Enjoy and more to come later today.
Fuck You - Cee-Lo by DJ Shylock

Out with the old, in with the new

Here's a few songs we used to bump on the dance floor when I was a freshman. You'll be blasting these in no time if you haven't heard them yet.

Some More Pregamin Beats

A couple of more songs to get you hyped up for a night of debauchery now that school's starting up soon. The first is one of my favorite Calvin Harris songs. The second artist a few of you may recognize from "Shirt Off", which was a song by a kid from Dartmouth that got popular throughout New England colleges. The third song is the popular song I speak of.

Back Again

The last two weeks have been incredibly busy. Family vacay, helping the younger brother move into school, and little internet access have all helped reduce the amount of music I've been able to post. Anyway, with school starting up for pretty much everyone else except for me, I'm sure you're looking to find new songs to help start up the pregames. Here's a couple of songs that according to a friend he would "listen to the first one if I was just listening to music and the second one if I was drankin". The third song is yet another Twelves remix of the ever popular 80's hit by Aha.

Jibberish

So cajoled I have been into this late night post. I'm not gonna say I'm happy about it, but all's fair in love and war. Because 23 has some Mexican heritage, I figured I'd post this song in homage to his native land's culture and traditions.
