Double Vision Video

This is a great video. When you realize how they actually made the video, you'll want to watch it again.

The White Panda & Lil Wayne

Here's a few mashups from mashup artists The White Panda. These might be a bit outdated, but for those who haven't heard them yet, you should. They really like using Lil Wayne for their mashups, and to be honest it works really well.

e-dubble

e-dubble's debut album, Hip-Hop is Good was completely written, recorded and produced by e-dubble over the course of a year. The entire album in itself is purty good. You can find him on itunes, but here is a taste of what he has to offer.

Brenton Duvall, Magnetic Man and John Legend

Brenton Duvall makes another re-appearance on the Hatch, mashing Tears for Fears and Tupac for the song Against a Mad World. Tupac's songs, as described by the prestigious Wikipedia, "are about growing up amid violence and hardship in ghettos, racism, other social problems." Further in the paragraph, Tupac's record sales comes up; "(Tupac) has sold over 75 million albums worldwide." Not bad. Second track is Magnetic Man and John Legend, with a hard to describe song titled Getting Nowhere. It sort of makes me think about my situation with girls. Just kidding, I get all the hunnies. But seriously, I can relate...

La Roux vs. The Prodigy, Foo Fighters vs. Calvin Harris

The Prodigy is an electronic music group, who got started in England in the 1990's. Their song Stand Up probably one of my favorite songs right now, constantly on shuffle in my music library. First track of the day is a mashup of The Prodigy and La Roux. Second track should be just as good, since it is a mashup of Foo Fighters and Scottish DJ Calvin Harris. Enjoy

Ricky Ross and Justin Timbizzle

Considering it is 1:03 AM Tuesday morning, I thought it would be important to tell you guys it's Caffeine Addiction recovery Month. I know many other college students are still awake with a long night ahead of them, filled with many pages to read and equations to grind through. So here's two tracks for you to bump to during your homework struggles. First track is a mashup by Glitch Jockey of Rick Ross and Real McCoy. Second track is called My Love, mashup of LCD Soundsystem and justin Timberlake by Diplo. Enjoy your caffeine induced consciousness.

Jackson 5 vs. Eminem, Jay-Z vs. Black Kids

First track of the post was made by Thoko. Mashing Jackson 5 and Eminem, I Want You Back is the result. On a related note, I think it's incredible how much control Michael Jackson had over his voice and his presence on a song at such a young age. Second track is a mash made by Ha! Yes, mixing Jay-Z and the Black Kids. A good song to listen to if you need a reason to have a good time.

Big Boi and newcomer Brenton Duvall

It's a little late, but I figure late is better than never. Mr. Big Boi released his album Sir Lucious Left Foot: The Son of Chico Dusty to positive reviews. One of my favorite songs of his album is Shutterbugg, Which is the first track. Second track is by a new mashup artist by the name of Brenton Duvall. considering how truthful the internet (not really, in case you are one of those stupid people) That probably isn't even him up there in the picture. Brenton is probably black. any ways, his track is called That's All, mashing Gucci with something I'm not entirely sure is human, because nothing human can make beatz sound so gooood. Enjoy

The White Panda Mash

The White Panda is a mashup duo sort of like The Hood Internet. The Panda, however, has some more diversity I think with the song choice for their mashes. This here track mashes Luda and that song from Space Jams with Michael Jordan. Oh and apparently it's fresh, as in new, as in maybe you won't find it anywhere else for the next, say, 3 minutes?

featuring Chali 2na from Jurassic 5

Oh and I forgot to put up this track. Chali 2na's Across the Map features J-Live, the man on the picture up above. I don't know about you guys, but I love Chali 2na's voice. Enjoy

Tom Petty vs. Drake, Squincy Jones

After hosting my brother during family weekend at the university, I think it's time for a post. First track is a mashup called Free Fallin Forever, featuring artists Tom Petty and Drake. Second track is a tasty jam created by Squincy Jones, titled Boyz N the Hood. My brother says hello.

Ice Cube Comes Back to the Dark Side

Ice cube has decided to stop making ridiculous movies about ordinary dudes dealing with extraordinary situations in order to drop this beat for his fans. A friend of mine that I was talking with once told me his life motto, and I think Ice Cube can relate to it: "You do you. Be youself." Ice Cube isn't ordinary, he is extraordinary. First track is called Life in California, by Ice Cube, second track is a mashup of La Roux's Bulletproof and Nicki Minaj's Monster. It's aptly called Bulletproof Monster.

Lil Wayne

Lil Wayne has a tentative release date of November 5th from New York City's main jail complex Rikers Island. His upcoming album, Tha Carter IV, will be released on said date. To be honest, Weezy's probably been filling notebooks full of rhymes about his experience in jail. First track of the post is a mashup of Lil Wayne and Turn Out the Lights, made by Mother Earth Remixes. Second track is Beehive Waist by Lil Wayne and T-Pain. This track was produced by The Bizness. And the third and final track is a mashup of Lil Wayne and La Roux, track's called Doin' Hoodrat Stuff With My Friends, made by + VIBES. Enjoy your Weeziness experience

WU TAAAANG.... and those guys too.

I have no idea how the Wu-Tang crew is able to pump out so much good music without ripping each other apart because of all of the crazy personalities within the group. RZA alone has become a prominent figure in hip hop music, equally known for his beats as for his producing skillz. But I digress. First track is Wu-Tang mashed with The Beatles. The second track is Jay-Z mashed with Ratatat. I know a lot of mashes have been made of Get That Dirt Off your Shoulder, but I swear this one is one of the best I've heard. Enjoy

Professor Green's post numero two

Professor Green has already been featured on the Hatch, look for his earlier post on the search tab up top. the Professor's first track on this post is called Upper Clapton Dance, this song came off of his 2009 single album, Hard Night Out. Second song I was hesitant to put up, since Camo & Crooked, DJ duo based in the Austrian city of Vienna, definitely put an Electronic spin on the Professor's song titled Monster. This one might take a couple listens, but it got my noggin nodding, so I'm sure you'll enjoy.

Stromae, featuring Kanye West

Kanye can be kind of a dick sometimes, like with the Taylor Swift incident, declaring himself chosen by God to be the greatest, and all around douche. But he is still AMAZING no matter what the haters say. Haters hate, but I love, Kanye for prez, peace out.

Xaphoon Jones Remix and Biggie Smalls comes back from the dead

Whatsup ladies, how you feeling tonight? Alright, you're not feeling too good, ok well these songs will definitely get you in the mood :) here we go. First track is a Xaphoon Jones remix of 2 AM Club's nobody's In Love. Second track is a mashup called No Sex for Cali. The Rapture provides the beats, Biggie Smalls provides the voice. Enjoy, and good luck getting your girl on the right path

Sam Adams

I know people love to hate on Sam Adams and to be honest I can get sick of him sometimes too. However, I really like his music. I've seen him in concert and it was decently impressive. Today I saw on MTV that the music video for "Still I Rise" ft. G-Curtis came out and decided to throw up a post dedicated to Sammy.

Still I Rise is one of my favorite Sam Adams songs but it isnt free so if you want it go buy it on itunes and support him. Heres the video and I have two free songs underneath.

Heads Will Roll was originally a song by the Yeah Yeah Yeahs. It was then remixed by A-Track and Sam jumps over this sick beat.

Next song is Lemonade Please, originally the track by Gucci Mane. This has DJ Who Kidd on it. Check it out.

peanut butter, T.I. and The Wiz

So the reason for this late night post is this: I decided to take a nap at 4 PM, woke up at 10 PM, and started to do my homework. By 1 AM, I figured I'd do something actually productive and start looking for songs in my library while eating out of my peanut butter jar with a spoon. Lo and behold, T.I. catches my eye with his track You Know What It Is. Featuring Wyclef Jean, my favorite part of the song is the bass by Wyclef. second track is called Black and Yellow by Wiz Khalifa. The Wiz is a rapper based out of Pittsburgh who started out in 2005. This post is dedicated to those who have tried and failed the Cinnamon Challenge. Google it.

Kanye West and Co, CHIP THA RIP, and The Hood

I'm the guy on the right, with the finger on my lip. Just kidding that's not me. That's Ken CLausen who is a lacrosse player, defenseman for the Denver Outlaws and All-American at the University of Virginia. Anyway, I got some tasty jams for you guys. The first post is called Good Friday by Kanye West, with a star-studded lineup featured on the song. Go ahead, look who's featuring. All I care about is that Kid Cudi is on that list. Speaking of Cudi, next up on the list is Chip Tha Ripper with a song called I Feel Good. He is another talented rapper from Cleveland. Seriously, I don't know what they feed their children, because Mr. Cudi and Mr. Ripper are bad-ass. Last but not least on the list is a song called Dwrcan 'em Up by The Hood Internet. Enjoy your eargasm.
